For the second time since 2007, the Emirates National Skills Competition took place at the Institute of Applied Technology in Abu Dhabi on the 15th and 16th of April 2009.
Altogether nine different trades were presented, Mechatronics and Robotics as official trades for the first time. In both trades five teams competed. The winning teams will be participating in WorldSkills Competition in Calgary, Canada in September.
During a summer training camp, the teams will be trained intensively in order to achieve the best possible results for the United Arab Emirates. In parallel to the competition, we – as one of the major sponsors for the National Skills – had an opportunity to represent key products such as MPS, Robotino and MecLab on our stand, attracting a large number of potential customers.
